METRO MARKETS is a 100% subsidiary of METRO AG. The purpose of its foundation in 2018 was to develop a digital B2B platform focusing on HoReCa customers. Under the leadership of CEO Jan-Philipp Blome, two teams worked for a whole year on the development of the METRO Online Marketplace before its official launch in Germany in 2019. Professional customers can order hospitality equipment and products online from the one-stop shop.

Largest online marketplace in Europe

From napkins and furniture to catering equipment, professional customers can find everything they need for their daily work on one platform - whether they are caterers, restaurants or hotels. More than 800,000 products in various categories - such as kitchen equipment, office supplies and cleaning - are available online. In addition to Germany, the METRO Online Marketplace is also available in Spain, Italy, Portugal, France and the Netherlands. The Düsseldorf-based company has plans for further international expansion as part of its sCore strategy.
