Newsletters in customer communications

A newsletter is a regularly published digital information format used by companies and organisations in their customer communications. In newsletters, they inform their customers about offers, new products or services. Companies and organisations are free to choose the content of their newsletters and send them directly to recipients by email.

METRO newsletter – offers, discounts and promotions at a glance

Like many other companies and organisations, METRO Germany informs customers about current promotions, offers and news about its product range and services in a weekly newsletter. The METRO newsletter is only intended for METRO customers. In addition to information about new products, subscribers receive event information and practical tips for everyday business in the food service, trade and service industries. The newsletter also contains exclusive benefits such as raffles and vouchers.

Subscription to the METRO newsletter

All METRO customers can subscribe via the METRO website with their e-mail address and customer number, which can be found on their METRO card, among other places. They can specify individual areas of interest such as food, non-food or services and will receive a weekly newsletter tailored to their interests.

Unsubscribing from the METRO newsletter

Recipients who no longer wish to receive the METRO newsletter can unsubscribe via a link at the end of the newsletter. The unsubscription takes effect immediately and METRO will delete the usage data stored for the newsletter without delay. The METRO customer status and the stored METRO customer data remain unaffected. All customers can re-subscribe to the newsletter at any time.
