Eduard Xatruch, born in 1981 in Vila-seca, Spain, discovered his passion for cooking at an early age. At 17, he started a three-month internship at the legendary elBulli – and never left. Located on the Costa Brava, elBulli was long considered the best restaurant in the world. Under the leadership of Ferran Adrià, it was a place where not just food was served, but flavors were redefined. Airy foams, edible spheres, unexpected combinations – elBulli was where cooking became art. It was there that Eduard Xatruch found his love for avant-garde cuisine.
Together with Oriol Castro and Mateu Casañas, he opened Compartir in Cadaqués in 2012, followed by Disfrutar in Barcelona.
Xatruch is a perfectionist with boundless creativity. His dishes? A sensory explosion that wins over even the skeptics. His restaurants have earned Michelin stars and are ranked among the best in the world.
