How can you create something wonderful with just a few ingredients? Top chef Alina Meissner-Bebrout knows: she cooked her way to a Michelin star with simple ingredients in a kitchen measuring just eight square metres. Michelin-starred chef Alina Meissner-Bebrout on the lessons she has learnt from being self-employed from an early age – and what she buys from METRO.

In line with the ‘Year of Own Brand’ , the new MPULSE presents interesting facts about our product range – and the stories behind it. For example, the Italian family business Valdigrano produces more than 30 pasta varieties especially for METRO Chef and Aro. The pasta varieties from the Pasta Sales Challenge have been specially developed for the so-called double-cooking process: restaurateurs can pre-cook them and then just heat them up briefly later.
